I stumbled on this little Easter Egg originally posted on the Blastr website.
Some history – Avengers director Joss Whedon was one of the co-writers on Alien: Resurrection back in 1997, but it looks like that wasn’t his last contact with Ridley Scott’s Alien universe.
In 2002, Whedon’s Firefly started in the middle of the Battle of Serenity Valley where the series’ lead character, Malcom Reynolds (played by Natahn Fillion), takes control of an anti-air gun.
Take a look at the logo at the top of the heads up display:
It looks remarkably like the Weyland-Yutani Corp logo from the Alien universe doesn’t it?
Now there’s a movie mash-up I wouldn’t mind seeing!
